Brenda Sue Gunnells Williams
Of Lundale, WV
Brenda Sue Gunnells Williams, 58, left her earthly home in Lundale on Sunday, December 25, 2011, to join her family in their heavenly home.
She was born October 14, 1953, at Man, a daughter of Gertrude "Bobbie" Walker Gunnells of Logan and the late Elvis "Shorty" Gunnells.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Williams; one daughter, Mary Ellen Williams; and two brothers, Bill Gunnells and Foster Gunnells.
Brenda was a home maker. A member of the Becco United Baptist Church at Becco, Brenda was also member of the Ladies Aide. She enjoyed walking, working crossword puzzles, and watching "her shows" on television. An animal lover, Brenda kept her bird feeders full, fed stray cats, loved her dogs, Snowball and Rango, and especially loved feeding and watching her ducks. Devoted to her family, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her mother, are one daughter, Shannon Williams of Lundale; a caregiver who Brenda loved like a son, Wilson "Beaner" Evans of Lundale; three grandchildren, Brett Williams and Kira Williams, both of Braeholm, and Keeleigh Evans of Lundale; one sister, Linda (Curtis Pauley) Gunnells of Gilbert; two brothers, Larry (Gloria) Gunnells of VA and Jeffery (Brandi) Gunnells of Braeholm; and several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services also.
