Of Bruno, WV
Shirley Mae Willard, 67, of Bruno, joined her husband in their heavenly home on Sunday, December 25, 2011, from Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan.
She was born March 19, 1944, at Elk Creek, a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Macie Mae Toler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Martin Willard Sr.; and one brother, Terry Lee Toler.
Shirley was a home maker and loving mother and MawMaw. She was a Christian of the Church of God faith. An animal lover, Shirley loved her dogs, Joe and Bandit, her cat, Angel, and her canary, Kermit. She enjoyed shopping and going to flea markets. Her greatest enjoyment came from her family that she loved with all of her heart.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Bo Andy (Kathy) Griffin of Campus, Treena (Leslie) Lester of Gilbert, and Harold Jr. (Betty Jane) Willard of Bruno; seven grandchildren, Christina Allen, Celesta (Brian) Brown, Haley (Christopher "Bink") Johnson, Derek Lester, Jeremy Toler, Aaron Willard, and Kirkland Willard; three sisters, Daisy Morgan of Elk Creek, Charlotte (Roy) Walker of Christian, and Brenda Sue Grimmette of NC; Bronzie (Betty) Toler of Elk Creek, Ricky (Brenda) Toler of Verner, and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the Bruno Church of God at Bruno with Rev. Roger Frye and Rev. Ronald Steve McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Browning-Grimmett Cemetery at Bruno.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bruno Church of God and one hour prior to services.
