Joyce Grimmett
Of Mallory, WV
Joyce Grimmett, 51, of Mallory, left this life on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, from CAMC-General Division, after a long illness, to begin anew in Heaven.
She was born February 2, 1960, at Holden, the daughter of Cora Coffey Grimmett of Lundale and the late Joe Grimmett.
In addition to the father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Ethel Coffey and Okie and Eskie Grimmett.
Joyce was a graduate of Man High School and enjoyed her work at H & R Block at Man. She also enjoyed reading a good book, cooking for friends and family, and spending time with her five grandchildren, James "Mikie" Walls, Stephen C. "Bubby" Evans II, Christopher S. Evans, Brian E. "Tate" Anderson II, and the "Princess", Tori Anderson.
Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her loving mother and five grandchildren, are two daughters, Eskie Walls (Charles Kilgore) of Proctor Bottom and Cora (Brian) Anderson of Davin; three brothers, Rick Grimmett of Stowe, Mark (Shannon) Grimmett of NC, and Gerald (Diane) Grimmett of VA; nine nieces, Haleigh (Brandon) Harold, Alexis Vanover, Vanessa Grimmett, Gerri Sue Gardner, Charlotte Cook, Barbara Prince, Beth Walls, Lena Cline, and Charlotte Hampton; five nephews, Ricky Gene and Michael Grimmett, TJ , Thomas , and Charles Chapman; her significant other, Michael Isom; and her ex-husband and father of her children, James Walls along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will commence at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at the Greenbranch Free Will Baptist Church at Man with Rev. Eddie Isom officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Friends may pay their respects from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the church also.
Pall bearers will be Rick and Mark Grimmett, Brian Anderson, Charles Kilgore, James "Mikie" Walls, and Stephen Isom.
Honorary pall bearers will be Michael Isom, Stephen Evans II, Christopher Evans, Brian Anderson II, and James Walls, Sr.
