Obituary of Deloris Ann Nash

Deloris Ann Nash Of Lorado, WV Deloris Ann Nash, 67, of Lorado, departed this life Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, after a long illness. She was born September 13, 1944, at Logan, the daughter of the late Brooks and Emma Lusk Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Gladie Necessary, Mona Adkins, and Juanita Wells; four brothers, Richard Adkins, Doug Adkins, Ernie Adkins, and her twin brother, David Adkins; two brothers-in-law, Pierce Necessary and Johnny Wells; one sister-in-law, Emma Jean Adkins; and one nephew, John B. "Jeb" Wells II. After graduation from Man High School, Deloris worked as a teacher's aide and during the 1970's she worked as a secretary for the FBI in Washington, D.C. While working in Washington, D.C. she met and married her beloved husband and they moved back to West Virginia. As a home maker, she created a warm and loving home for her family. During the illnesses of her mother, her sisters, Mona and Juanita, and her brother-in-law, Johnny Wells, Deloris served as one of their loving and compassionate caregivers. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Douglas Nash III of Lorado; three sons, Douglas (Sherry) Nash IV of Rum Creek, and David Lee (Margaret) Nash and Daniel Brooks Nash, both of Accoville; seven grandchildren, Randall Nash, Katie Nash, Dawn Nash, Leah Nash, Austin Nash, Brooklyn Nash, and James Nash; one sister, Beulah (Thomas) Lankas of Lorado; one brother, Jimmy Adkins of Charleston; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2011, at the Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man, where a church service will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating. Pall bearers will be her three sons, Doug, David, and Daniel Nash, and other family members.
