Of Holden, WV
Jewell Faye Vance, 59, of Holden, went to meet her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Logan Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born April 24, 1952, at Logan, a daughter of Rev. John T. and Betty Brown Vance of Holden.
Preceding her in death are her grandparents; and one brother-in-law, James Viars.
Jewell was a Born Again Christian of the Free Will Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Helen Viars of Mallory and Betty Meade of Richmond, VA; one brother, Tennis (Sue) Vance of Lake; three nephews, Rev. John T. (Laura) Viars of Mallory, Daniel (Dana) Vance of Springfield, Ohio, and E.J. Meade of Richmond, VA; two nieces, Janey (Steven) Flournoy of Roanoke, VA and Aimie Meade of Richmond, VA; and many loving aunts, uncles, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will commence at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011, at the #21 Holden Memorial Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor John R. Spears and Rev. Lacy Cox, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church and one hour prior to services also.
Family members will serve as pall bearers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
