Obituary of Shirley Ann Bailey Lusk

Shirley Ann Bailey Lusk, 65, of Cleveland, OH and Cyclone, WV went home to the open arms of her Savior on August 31, 2011, from Cleveland Clinic surrounded by her loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 21, 1945, at Williamson, WV, the third daughter of the late Wetzel "Tom" and Annabell Derosette Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Bailey; one niece, Joyce Christian; her father-in-law, Leonard Lusk; and her brother-in-law, Thurman Ellis. Shirley was a charter member of The Congregational Tabernacle of Cleveland, OH where she shined as a light to everyone she met. She treated everyone who came into her life with love and kindness. Devoted to her family, Shirley will be sadly missed by her "boys". Those left behind to celebrate her life and keep her in their hearts include her husband of 45 years, Earnest Dale Lusk; one son, Earnest Dale Lusk Jr. and his companion, Donna Brown, of Cleveland, OH; one grandson who was the light of her life, Cody Lusk, of Cleveland, OH; one brother, Wetzel (Sandy) Bailey of Dexter, OH; four sister, Lou Gordon, Paula Ellis, Jeanie (Ralph) Christian, and Charlotte Plumley, all of Davin, WV; her mother-in-law, Opal Lusk of Cyclone, WV; her brother-in-law, Rodney (Marilyn) Lusk of Cyclone, WV; she was a wonderful and caring aunt to six nephews and seven nieces; a multitude of great nieces and nephews; and one great-great-niece along with a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will commence at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2011, at the Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny with Rev. Earl Snuffer officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man. Her family will serve as pall bearers.
