Of Morgantown, WV
Dustin Scott Collins, 26, of Morgantown, formerly of Man, WV departed this life on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at his residence.
He was born April 12, 1988 at Logan, a son Cheryl and Pat Sizemore of Man and the late Randy Collins.
Dustin was a 2006 honors graduate of Man High School, where he also played basketball all four years. He graduated from WVU's Radiology program in 2013 and was attending WVU's MRI program. Dustin was employed at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was an avid water skier and wake-boarder. He developed his skills during many family vacations at Smith Mountain Lake. In addition, his passions were his family, music, and preparing himself for his future career. Dustin touched many lives with his loving and caring ways during his brief life. He had a great sense of humor and had a way of making everyone feel very special. Dustin was a very intelligent young man and will be missed by many.
Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his parents are his sisters, Sarah (Brian) Collins Nickerson, Madison Sizemore, Bridgett (Randy) Hansford and Shannon Hodge; two nephews, Nash Nickerson and Lane Hansford; maternal grandparents, Rev. Sherman and Margaret Grimmett; paternal grandparents, Clinton and Jean Collins; a special aunt, Angie Collins Muncy; two special cousins Abbie Woods and Sam Collins; his best friend, Cody Dye; and four uncles, Glen and Reggie Grimmett and Eddie and Timmy Collins. He will also be missed by many other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home in Man with Rev. Mike Hicks officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers will be Cody Dye, Brian Nickerson, Sam and Jeremy Collins, Lawton Parnell, and Chris Grimmett. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin and Ethan Grimmett and Jamie Hall.
