Of Mallory, WV
Helen Frances Stacy, 85, of Mallory, departed this life on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 7, 1932, in Wilder, TN, a daughter of the late Charlie Dow and Birchie Jane Lancaster Ferguson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons, Tommy and Terry Stacy; two sisters, Agnes Hobbs and Avis Johnson.
Helen was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother, known as Nana to all. A devoted wife to her husband, Harold, Sr., their marriage spanned sixty eight years and is an inspiration of loving commitment to those who knew them. She was a faithful attendant of the Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church where she had many friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Charlene (Ronnie Stephens of Davin, Nancy (Jack) Stowers of Mallory, and Penny (Nickey) Johnston of Barboursville; five sons, Harold (Teresa) Stacy, Jr. of Lundale, Jerry (Dawn) Stacy of Lundale, Ray (Tammy) Stacy of Claypool, Sammy Stacy of Man, and Bobby Stacy of Lapeer, MI; 19 grandchildren, Camie (Oliver) Hunt, Denean (Chuck) Hill, Harold III, Steven, and Wendy Stacy, Jeramey (Paula) Stacy, Stephanie (Eric) Sigmon, Kellie (Joe) Nelson, Kimberly (Alex) Toler, Ashley (Brian) Lusk, Paige Stacy, Samantha (Bobby) Adkins, Jack Stowers III, Staci (Michael) Long, Tabitha (Cory) Spence, Brittany and Danielle Stacy, Ashton Conley, and Terri Deflumeri; 19 great-grandchildren, Courtney Hunt Johnson, Trey Hunt, Tristan Brown, Charlie Hill, Bethaney and Grayson Stacy, Peyton and Erica Sigmon, Austin, Brandon and Ashley Nelson, Lexie and Aiden Lusk, Baylee and Garren Lawson, Gavin, Tyler, and Nick Long; two great-great-grandchildren, Kinlee Johnson, Braelyn Nelson, and Charleigh Conley; nephews, Bobby (Sherry) Johnson and their children, Bobby, Jr., Jennifer, and Kristie; and great-nephew, Charles (Marsha) Collins; along with a host of other family and friends.
A special thanks to our mother's caregivers Lynn Paynter and Missy Cline.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church at Man with Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church also.
Pall bearers will be Nickey Johnston, Jack Stowers, Jeramy Stacy, Trey Hunt, Bobby Adkins, Oliver hunt, Michael Long, Cory Spence and Eric Sigmon.
