Obituary of Charlotte Walls Adkins

Charlotte Walls Adkins Crown, WV Charlotte Walls Adkins, 84, of Crown, went peacefully into Heaven Wednesday, May 25, 2011, from her home with her son and daughter by her side. She was born May 30, 1926, at Logan, a daughter of the late Noah and Della Baldridge Mauk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ballard Walls; her second husband, Earnest Adkins; two children, Sammy and Shirley Walls; and one grandson, Ballard Walls III. She was a home maker. When she was able, she had attended the Crown Holiness Church. Charlotte enjoyed reading and loved to laugh. Those left behind to join her soon are four sons, Ballard (Esta) Walls Jr., J.D. (Kathy) Walls, Charles Walls, and David Walls, all of Crown; three daughters, Betty Cook of Crown, Geanie (Gerald) Holeman of OK, and Dianna Vance of Logan; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will commence at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Jimmie Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park at Danville. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home also. Pall bearers will be her sons and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
