Minnie “Mitzie” Paynter
Of Lancaster, OH
Minnie Marie “Mitzie” Paynter, 52, of Lancaster, OH formerly of Gilbert, departed this life to join her son, Charles Kelly, on Friday, March 25, 2011, at Cabell-Huntington Hospital at Huntington, after a brief illness.
She was born September 22, 1958, at Man, the daughter of the late William H. and Minnie Ward Collins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles Kelly Paynter; two brothers, Bill Collins and Jimmy Collins; and one sister, Patricia Runyon.
Mitzie was a former registrar’s assistant at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. She was of the Baptist faith. Mitzie enjoyed gardening, music, riding her bike, and an occasional bubble bath. Extremely family oriented, Mitzie was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Devoted to being kind to others, she showed her humanity through doing things for other people with no expectation of reward.
Those left to carry on are her true love, Charles Kelly Paynter; her loving daughter, Kelly Dawn Paynter of Verner; three grandchildren, Rebekah Price, Hannah-Grace Price, and Ethan Michael Price, all of Verner; three sisters, Margaret (Steve) Cline of Gilbert, Felicia (Rick) Wright of Barboursville, and Katherine (Silas) Berry of Kistler; two brothers, Lonnie Collins of Emmett and Garland (Jackie) Collins of Cyclone; her best friend, Sherry Grimmett of Davin; a special friend, Michael; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will commence at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Chris Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home also.
Pall bearers will be David Price, Garland Collins, Lonnie Collins, Garland Collins, Jr., J.R. Runyon, and Michael Perry.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
