Of Kistler,WV
Joan Clark, 79, of Kistler, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 7, 1931, in Man, the daughter of the late Joe and Lillian Walls Hawks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Clark; one sister, Betty Joe (Donald) Carroll; and one brother, Charles Wade Walls.
Joan was the retired supervisor of Medical Records at Man Appalachian Regional Hospital where she worked for 39 years. She was a member of the Medical Records Association and the START program at Man.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Earl (Paula) Clark of Kistler; one sister, Nadine Mitchell of Man and Titusville, FL; several special nieces and nephews; and her dog, Baxter; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be friends and family.
