Oh how much i miss you pawpaw..setting here in class at Man high school reading all of these truly brung me into to tears. My heart still breaks to you this day. I was hoping you would've made it to at least see me get married and see your future great-grand babies. I know you were sickly and your better off now but every night before I go to sleep I set and talk to you and pray i'll see you soon again. I'll never forget this one day, I don't know why but it always comes to me, Me, you, Haley, and Jacob was out in the yard playing with a sprinkler. I want you to know mawmaw is being took care of, they recently moved but didn't sell the house. The pool got put in to day, and in-ground pool in fact. I love you so much and i'll always regret the time i didn't spend with you, ill love you forever <3

Mike, where to begin? Your loss has left us grief stricken. While it is a comfort to know you have received your mansion in the sky and no longer suffer with your health, I am saddened you are no longer here with me. Selfish I know. You left behind a legacy that is phenomenal. I believe you walked the walk that you preached. No one would ever have to question whether you made it to Heaven because you let your Light shine while here on earth. I thank you for that peace of mind. I thank you for all you taught me, for the example you were to us all. The love I have for you will never dim, never fade. I find myself talking to you all the time. It gives me comfort. I wish I could have been there to see you "kick up some cloud dust" and receive your new perfect lungs. Oh what a blessing to just think about it. Your death was not in vain. Some of your family was lead to the Lord during your services and others have put down their cigarettes. The desire to see you again, along with our Lord and Savior, has inspired us to work harder to reach our rewards. I love and miss you beyond comprehension. But one day, I will kick up my own "cloud dust" as I dance my way to Heaven. I hope you are there to greet me at the gates. Mitt

I love you so much, daddy. The pain and sadness that I feel is unbearable, but it helps to know that you are comforted in the arms of lord right now. I just wish you didn't have to go so soon. You will be greatly missed. The best man and dad in the world. I will see you soon one day. Love you daddy!

Mike was more than a pastor to us, he was our friend. He will be missed, but gratly admired for his work for the Lord.
I loved the back and forth banter we had in the Sunday School.
To the family we say stay strong with the Lord and we will see him someday.
God Bless and keep you.

This says "Share your Memories." Well, I have so many, it would take up too much space. I'll just say that he was the best brother and friend all our lives. My life as I ever knew it was changed forever the day God took him from us. But he left us with a testimony through his singing, preaching and just being a brother and a christian to look up to. Thank you, Michael. I'll love you forever. Until I see you again.

I'm still in disbelief that you are gone. I miss you dearly, and my heart is broken. I'm so far away and can't do a thing to help my family through this time like I know you would have wanted me to do! I can't wait till the day I get to see you again for I know you will be waiting for me outside those beautiful gates. Please wait for me Uncle Mike, Love you and Miss you with all my heart!

When I announced my call into the ministry, I was told that I needed to memorize into my heart an important scripture: Psalm 23. Through our time on earth - we may be in fear of what death may bring. With God, and the redeeming power of Jesus Christ, we have a hope though - eternity with our Savior.
Two men asked me to memorize that set of verses: Rev. Charles Crum and Rev. Mike Adkins. I know the sorrow the Adkins family feels at this time, I have walked in those shoes before. I can only say one thing - the same thing I said at my poppaw's funeral: I'm Jealous - because he's home in Heaven.
I'm Jealous of Mike now, because he is on the other side in peaceful eternity with our Lord - but this is the time to celebrate, because we know where he is, and when God calls us home, I know in my heart I'll join them on the other side.
My prayers are with the Adkins family - and the entire community back home. I sincerely wish I could be there in person. My thoughts are with you.

I wanted to express my sympathy to the family of Michael Adkins. My brother Scott is married to Mike's niece Kelli. I know that Scott and Kelli thought very highly of Mike and loved him very much. He will be greatly missed. I pray for strength and comfort from the Lord for Mike's family and friends, and that they will be comforted knowing that he is with Jesus and that they can see Mike again someday in Heaven.
