Jack Lee Morgan, Jr.
Of Davin, WV
Jack Lee Morgan, Jr., better known as Jackie Lee, 43, of Davin, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
He was born on October 18, 1967, at Man, a beloved son of Jack Lee, Sr. and Judith Elaine Belcher Morgan.
Jackie Lee was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Lila Caldwell Belcher; and his paternal grandparents, Walter and Virginia Ruth Mosley Morgan.
After graduating from Man High School in 1985, Jackie Lee moved to Raleigh, NC to work at Kroger where he met a particular cashier by the name of Christine Ritchie, with whom he fell in love. She was the single mother of an infant girl named Courtney who absolutely stole his heart. After the death of his grandmother Lila, he and his family moved back to Davin and he became employed as a Store Manager at the Rite Aid at Pineville.
Jackie Lee was an organ donor. Because of this gift numerous others will be able to use his ligaments, bone marrow, skin tissues, and the corneas from his beautiful eyes. Through this act of kindness he has become our hero.
Those left to miss him are his wife and best friend of 21 years, Christine Ritchie Morgan; three children, Sarah Elaine Morgan, Courtney Ryann Morgan, and Jonathan Tyler Morgan, all at home; his parents, Jack and Judy Morgan of Davin; one brother, Jason Edward Morgan of Man; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will commence at 1 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011, at the Claypool United Methodist Church at Davin with the Rev. Bryan C. Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Claypool Cemetery at Davin.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the church and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be Allen Plumley, Michael Cochran, Norman Booth, Jr., Ernie Bailey, Jr., Bill Toler, and David Ritchie.
