Obituary of William Allen Poston

William Allen Poston Of San Antonio, TX William Allen Poston, 63, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Amherstdale, WV, passed away January 8, 2011, after a brief illness. He was born August 9, 1947, at Crites, WV, a son of Inis Goodwin Poston and the late Arlie Eugene Poston. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jean Vance William retired from the United States Air Force in 1987, and from VIA Metro in 2009. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Inis Goodwin Poston of Amherstdale, WV; his wife of 41 years, Diania Poston of San Antonio, TX; his two daughters, Angela Poston-Wells and her husband, Terry, of Portsmouth, OH and Kimberly Armstrong of San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren, Katherine Wells of Portsmouth, OH, and Zechariah and Sarah Armstrong, both of San Antonio, TX; two brothers Charles Kelly Poston and his wife, Kay, and Eugene Poston, all of Amherstdale, WV; and his sister Patricia Belcher and her husband, Tom, of Beckley, WV; along with a host of other relatives and friends. William was a wonderful, intelligent, interesting man, with a great sense of humor. He freely gave his devotion and love to his immediate and large extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Denver McClellan officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV. Friends may gather from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services. Pall bearers will be family and friends.
