Of Greenville, WV
Dora Mae Workman, 53, of Greenville went home to be with our Lord Sunday, January 2, 2011 from her home following an extended illness.
She was born March 31, 1957, at Logan, a daughter of the late Oley and Mary Ann Mabry Grimmette.
Dora Mae was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. When she was able, she attended Greenville Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching scary movies and spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 37 years, Demma Rufus Workman of Greenville; one daughter, Natalie (Dale Browning) Mitchell of South Man; one son, Demmie (Leighann) Workman of Kistler; two brothers, Danny (Christine) Grimmette of AZ. and Oley “Jr.” (Teresa) Grimmette of Henlawson; one sister, Tonya Banks of Man; five grandchildren, Steven and Kirstin Mitchell, Haven, Trey, and Devin Workman; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Greenville Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Baxter Toler officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Friends may gather from 6-11 p.m. Wednesday at the church and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
Pall bearers will be family.
