Obituary of Helen Vernatter Dillon

Helen "Sparky" Vernatter Dillon Of Man, WV Helen "Sparky" Vernatter Dillon, 77, of Man, entered her Heavenly Home of Friday, July 4, 2014. She was born August 12, 1936, at Latrobe, the daughter of the late Harry and Vestie Vanover Vernatter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Juanita "Sissy" Vernatter; one brother, Earnest Vernatter; paternal grandparents, Seamen and Josie Olaker Vernatter; her maternal grandparents, Fleetwood and Polly Mills Vanover; and one daughter-in-law, Kim Dillon. Sparky was a home maker and a loving mother. Those left to cherish her memory are two children, Diana (Timothy) Caserta of Chapmanville and Mark Dillon of Amherstdale; one sister, Betty Sorrell of Kistler; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four nieces; two great-nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating. Inurnment will follow in Claypool Cemetery at Davin. Honoring Sparky's request, her remains have been cremated.
