Of Lorado, WV
Deea Shawn Compton Workman, 41, of Lorado, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010, at Accoville.
She was born June 9, 1969, at Man, a daughter of Wanda Lusk Compton Thompson of Davin and the late Thomas Woodrow Compton.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Patrick Workman; her maternal grandparents, Noah and Spicie Lusk; and her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Hannah Compton.
She was a home maker and a loving mother. Deea was a wonderful daughter and sister who enjoyed life to the fullest. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. Deea never met a stranger and talked to everyone she met.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother and step-father, Wanda and Harold Thompson of Davin; two daughters, Shaila and TiaDawn, both of Davin; one brother, Kevin (Jennie) Compton of Greenvalley; her twin sister, Dana (Russell Nester) Brown of Lorado; three nieces, Rebecca Compton, Taylor Nester, Jordan Brown, and Krysten Ellis; three nephews, Lil Kevin (Brandi) Compton, Tommy Compton and Ricky Blake Brown; one great-niece, Trinity Compton; one great-nephew, Kameron Compton; two special friends she loved like a sisters, Amie Ellis and Bonnie Buchanon; and one special uncle, Charles Compton; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will commence at 1 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2010, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be Eric McComas, James Ellis, Bobby Joe York, Greg Lovell, James Miller, Billy Johnson, and Russell Nester.
Honorary pall bearers will be Jim Evans, Charles Compton, Paul Brewster, Keith Buchanon, and Phillip Jude.
