William “Bill” Cook
Of Crown, WV
William “Bill” Cook, 59, of Crown, departed this life Sunday, November 14, 2010, from his home, after a courageous battle with cancer with his loving wife by his side.
He was born February 7, 1951, at Gilbert, a son of the late Norris Cook, Sr. and Mavis Vanover Nutter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeremy W. Cook; and two brothers, Randall K. Cook and Oley Cook.
Bill was an auto body tech formerly employed with Gilbert Body Shop at Gilbert. An avid outdoorsman, Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and digging ginseng.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 17 years, Robin Booth Cook of Crown; one daughter, Kristi Hatfield of Beckley; one step-son, Nick Booth of Crown; sisters and brothers, Lynn Stallsmith of Brenton, Claudette Justice of FL, Frank (Bonita) Cook of North Springs, Patrick (Tina) Nutter of Richmond, VA, and Rowlena Browning, Bertha Cline, and Eloise Cook, all of Gilbert; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sherri and Russell Brown of Davin, Susan and Tim Klontz of Bucyrus, OH, Norman and Mary Ann Booth of Cyclone, and David and Cathy Booth of Amherstdale; many nieces and nephews, and his faithful companion, Chipper; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Freddie Clay and Rev. Norman Booth, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
