Geneva Melvie Cline
Of Paradise Island, WV
The Mom of the “Cline Family Gospel Singers” that sang for 29 years, the loving wife and mother of seven, a Minister of the Gospel with her husband of 54 years, has went home to be with the Lord.
Geneva Melvie Cline, 73, of Paradise Island of Christian took her heavenly flight to the resting place called Paradise on August 22, 2010. The Lord escorted her home to be by his side.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Annie Gibson Robinson; one daughter, Mayricha Cline; two sisters, Ruby Stevens and Rosa Dean; and two brothers, Gordon Robinson and Lee Robinson.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Rev. Tommie R. Cline of Paradise Island of Christian; seven children, Priscella Cline (Michael) Smith of Paradise Island of Christian, Sherrie (Clinton) Riffe of Huntington, Evetta (Tim) Edwards of Florence, SC, Erica (Chris) Baldridge of Russell, KY, Tonnie (Penny) Cline of South Point, OH, Vivian (Greg) McCartney of Franklin Furnace, OH, Cornelius (Laura) Cline of Dandridge, TN; grandchildren, Timmy and Eric Fletcher, Joshua, Rebecca, Travis, and Levi Edwards, Virginia Cline, and Tommie and Angel McCartney; great-grandson, Derrick Fletcher; sisters, Zola (Eugene) Toler of Palistine and JoAnn (J.B.) Sowders of TN; and one brother, Buddy (Pam) Robinson of Lexington, KY; several nieces and nephews; along with a whole bunch of special friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Gospel Shed at Paradise Island of Christian.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at the Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with Rev. Robert Walker officiating.
