Of Robinette, WV
Bonita Bias Spence, 75, of Robinette passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at CAMC-General Division.
She was born April 3, 1935, at Dabney, a daughter of the late Turley and Gertrude Abbott Collins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew L. Bias Sr.; second husband, Willard “Buzz” Spence; four brothers, Bobby Collins, Ronnie Collins, Turley Collins Jr., and Larry Collins; and two sisters, Lucille Collins and Gloria Spencer.
Bonita was a home maker, loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a joy to all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Debora (Michael) Franklin of Alum Creek; one son, Andrew (Connie) Bias Jr. of Clayton, NC; one grandson, Andrew “Drew” Bias III of Greenville; one granddaughter, Jessica “Jessie” (Eric) Bunn of Clayton, NC; a very special step-daughter and friend, Penny (Bobby) Carter of Yanceyville, NC; step-daughter, Peggy (Gary) Hunley of Hillsboro, NC; three step-sons, Willard (Pam) Spence of Taplin, Timmy Spence of Man, and Mark (Christina) Spence of Knighdale, NC; step-grandchildren, Justin, Charlie, Barry, Samantha, Cody, and Maggy; three sisters, Beulah (Bill) Vance of Whitman, Susie Collins of Columbus, OH, and Diana (Jerry) Greene of Elyria, OH; one brother, Milton Collins of Monaville; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Michael Vannatter officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
