Mildred Frances Montgomery Gollie
Of Man, West Virginia
Mildred Frances Montgomery Gollie, 84, of Man formerly of Davin went to be with the Lord Monday, April 26, 2010, from her home, after a long illness.
She was born March 27, 1926, at Christian, a daughter of the late Sid and Josie Lee Harry Montgomery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Gollie; and one sister, Ida Mae Browning.
Mildred was a home maker and attended the Claypool United Methodist Church. She was a life time member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mildred was a 1945 graduate of Man High School.
Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Shelia R. Combs and her husband, Frank, of Man; one son, Joseph Sidney Gollie and his wife, Charlotte K., of Danville; four grandchildren, April (Carl) Goff, Heather (Larry) Peters, Melissa (Dave) Soltesz, and Joe Gollie; nine great-grandchildren, Bryce Goff, Braxton Goff, Blake Goff, Summer R. Combs, Ciera Peters, Brennan Goff, Alyssa Goff, Savannah Soltesz, and Lexie Jo Peters; and a special caregiver, Angie Nelson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Baxter Toler and Rev. Michael Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Dignity Hospice, P.O. Box 430, Chapmanville, WV 25508.
