Juliet Chawaten Gillispie
Of Greenvalle, WV
Juliet Chawaten Gillispie, 52, of Greenvalley, departed this world on Friday, April 16, 2010, from Thomas Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was born June 14, 1957, at Pangasinan Acoje Mines Santa Cruiz Zambales in the Philippines, the daughter of Cordolla Lupoyen Chawaten of Greenvalley and the late Andres Chawaten.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jesse and Justine Gillispie.
Juliet graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy from the Virgin Miliangrosa Educational Institute of San Carlos of the Philippines in 1985. After graduation, she came to the United States where she met her husband, Larry. She has lived in Man ever since where she was a member of St. Edmunds Catholic Church.
She was a loving daughter, wife, and mother. Juliet worked for ARH Home Health care since late 2000, where she spent most of her time trying to help people. She always cared so deeply for everyone, and will be greatly missed by all of those around her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 20 years, Larry Buster Gillispie of Greenvalley; one daughter, Faith Chawaten Gillispie of Greenvalley; her mother, Cordolla Chawaten of Greenvalley; eight sisters, Evelyn Mayo, Leonila Ganga, Neilie Chawaten, Susan Campanado, Fe Laroya, Caridad Chawaten, Shirley Guzman, and Marivic Chawaten, all of the Philippines, one brother, Frances Chawaten of the Philippines; two sisters-in-law, Connie Gillispie of Bruno and Edwina Midkiff of FL; four brothers-in-law, Earl Gillispie, Gary Gillispie, and Phillip Gillispie, all of Bruno and Donald Midkiff of FL; many nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April, 19 2010, at the St. Edmunds Catholic Church at Man with Father Tom Charters, Rev. Roger Frye, and Rev. Johnny Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man, where a scripture service will begin at 7 p.m. with Father Tom Charters officiating.
