Of Madison Creek, WV
Lucille Frances Marcum, 56, of Madison Creek, went home to be with Jesus Sunday, April 4, 2010, from her residence after an extended illness.
She was born October 13, 1953, at Charleston, a daughter of Rosalie Bateman Cooper Toler of Rum Creek and the late Winfield Cooper.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Cooper.
Lucille was a beloved wife, mother, Nan Nan, daughter, and sister. She was a member of Orville Holiness Church at Rum Creek. Lucille enjoyed reading, watching Soap Operas, and spending time with her family. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Walter Marcum, Jr. of Madison Creek; four children, Cora (Chester) Perry, Doris Spaulding, Michelle (Bill) Marcum, and Samuel (Nikki) Marcum, all of Madison Creek; ten grandchildren, Timothy (Kayla) Smith II, Meagan Wellman, Cathrine Perry, Chester Perry II, Michael Spaulding, Autumn Marcum, Garrett Ryan, and Lexi and Taylor Marcum, all of Madison Creek, and Samuel Scott Marcum II of Barboursville; two great-grandchildren, Drayden Smith and Christa Perry; her mother, Rosalie (Elmer) Toler of Rum Creek; four sisters, Denise (Danny) Perry of Rum Creek, Florence (Ray) Webb of GA, Jean McCoy of Dingess, and Naomi VanBuskirk of Lake; three brothers, Ray (Becky) Cooper, Winfield (Connie) Cooper, Jr., and John (Juanita) Cooper, all of Rita; two of her doctors whom she loved, Dr. Steven Ulaki and Dr. Radha; special nurses, Jon Porter and Melanie Williams among all others at LRMC, LEASA, Medi Home, and Peferred Choice Home Health.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon, Thursday, April 8, 2010, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Walter Hawkins and Rev. Robbie Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow the Family Cemetery at Madison Creek.
Visitation will held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be Bill Warner, Timothy Smith II, Michael Spaulding, Chester Perry II, Timmy Mills, and Danny Perry.
Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man is in charge of the arrangements.
