Randy Joe Hobbs
Of Accoville, WV
Randy Joe Hobbs, 59, of Accoville, departed this life on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Accoville.
He was born on July 2, 1958, at Van, a son of the late Alice Yvonne Hobbs Blackburn.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Fannie Hobbs; one sister, Barbara Beckett; and his uncles, Junior Hobbs, Bob Hobbs, and Jimmy Hobbs.
Randy was a disabled iron worker in the bridge construction industry for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Iron Workers local 301 at Charleston. Randy enjoyed 4-wheeling and watching sports. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Brenda Kay Allen Hobbs; one son, Daniel (Angela) Smith of Braeholm; two daughters, Angel (Billy) Hobbs of Crown and Heather (Christopher) Wright of Sylva, NC; 12 grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Mitchell Bryant, Lucas Bryant, Destini Smith, Erika Smith, Clayton Patterson, Devin Williams, Alyssa Williams, Hunter Williams, Chance Wright, Starr Smith, and Seth Wright; two great-grandchildren, Creedence Bombay and Kaiden Bombay; one sister, Dorothy (Russell) Daniels; three brothers, Eddie Hobbs, John (Jessica) Blackburn Jr., and Teddy (Sheila) Blackburn; his parents-in-law, Dock and Bertha Allen; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Debbie Allen and Emory Wilder, Pat and Mike Taylor, Linda Traylor, Theresia and Phillip Cantrell, and Misty and Jonathan Chapman; a special niece, Kristie Fields of Kermit; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church at Man with funeral services to follow immediately after with
Rev. Mike Johnson and Rev. James Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home, 115 Market Street, Man, WV 25635 to help with funeral expenses.
Pall bearers will be Daniel Smith, Billy Williams, Mitchell Bryant, Devin Williams, Lucas Bryant, Clayton Patterson, Jackson Traylor, Jonathan Chapman, Zack Chapman, and Justin Chapman.
Honorary pall bearers will be Dock Allen, Mike Taylor, Phillip Cantrell, and Emory Wilder.
