Please share a memory of Marvel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marvel "Marv" Fraley Of Lundale, WV Marvel Ray "Marv" Fraley, 78, of Lundale, departed this life surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 9, 2018, at Logan Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born June 4, 1939, at Elliotville, KY, a son of the late John Milton and Lottie Adkins Fraley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Marv was a hard working man who never stopped and always wanted things done right. His measure of a man was how hard a man could work. Marv was an excellent heavy equipment operator and enjoyed teaching his son from a young age how to operate equipment. He loved traveling and sharing his travels with his family. Marv especially liked Arizona. Although he had crazy flower pot ideas, he grew the most beautiful flowers. Marv loved to ginseng and could never find enough. Another of his loves was blue grass music which he played very loud. Marv was a strong minded man who was comfortable in his own skin and lived by his own code. He was a thinker who thought in large scale and was very idealistic. If you knew him you'll remember this phrase "you know what I mean." Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Kathleen Kay Curry Fraley; two daughters, Trina Ann Fraley (Ron) Stead of Pinion Hills, CA and Misty (Shay) Morgan of Lundale; two sons, Johnny Randall Fraley of TX and Matthew Logan (Larissa) Fraley of Amherstdale; ten grandchildren, Kautrina Marie Stead (Justin) Morgan, Ronald Bertrum (Ricci) Stead, Tiffany Fraley, Justin, Christian, Max, and Kinley Morgan, and Hayden, Connor, and Addlyn "Addy" Fraley; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Randall Fraley; and two sisters, Laverne Davis and Rachel Hinchman along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services also. Pall bearers will be family and friends.
