Robert Sonny Toler
Of Proctor Bottom, WV
Robert Sonny Toler, 84, of Proctor Bottom, departed this life on Thursday, March 8, 2018, leaving this world from Logan, after an extended illness.
He was born November 4, 1933, at Barboursville, a son of the late Marshall Aldy and Lena Mae Kyte Toler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Mitchell Toler; two brothers, Basil Monroe Toler and Earl Edward Toler; and two sisters, Dorothy Keaton and Ann Brumfield.
Mr. Toler was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. After serving his country, he settled in Proctor Bottom and was a coal miner until he was injured in a rock fall. Mr. Toler then moved to Parma, OH and worked as a truck driver while raising his family. After retirement, he enjoyed being a snow bird going to FL every winter.
Those left to cherish his memory are one son, Robert S. (Sherry Lynn) Toler II of Parma Hgts., OH; one daughter, Tracey A. (Paul) Yurko of Cleveland, OH; three grandchildren, Sarah, Dillon and Emma; one sister, Bonnie Sue Goodall of Prosperity, SC; and one brother, Marshall (Patricia) Toler of Wadsworth, OH; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
In honor of Mr. Toler's wishes his remains have been cremated and will be lovingly laid to rest beside his wife, Carol Ann, in Woodvale Cemetery in Middleburg Hgts., Ohio.
