Obituary of Brenda Lou Clay

Brenda Lou Clay Of Lorado, WV Brenda Lou Belcher Clay, 67, of Lorado, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 20, 2014, from Logan Regional Medical Center, after an extended illness. She was born on December 3, 1946, at Accoville, the daughter of the late James Fred and Lula Bell Hager Belcher. Also preceding her in death is one brother, Edward Hager. Brenda was a home maker and a disabled LPN formerly employed with Man ARH. She attended Lundale Freewill Baptist Church. Brenda enjoyed reading, eating chocolate, drinking Pepsi, and playing her Nintendo DS. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Brenda loved her family dearly. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 44 years, Bobby Lee Clay, Sr.; one daughter, Stephanie (Bo) Ryan of Lyburn; two sons, Freddie Belcher and Bobby "June Bob" Clay, Jr., both of Lorado; a grandson whom Brenda raised and loved like her own, Brandon Ellis of Greenvalley; four sisters, Phyllis Belcher and Carol Bailey, both of Accoville, JoAnn Reed of Gallipolis, OH, and Sherry (Danny) Vance of Amherstdale; two brothers, Rayneil (Glenna) Belcher and Rev. Jimmie (Phyllis) Belcher, both of Accoville; 10 additional grandchildren, Mitchell (Kristin) Ellis, Jamie (Jeremy) Johnson, Garrett Ryan, Brianna and Cody Peters, Nick, Austin, and Kelsey Belcher, Kristin Hardin, and Caleb Vance; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the Lundale Freewill Baptist Church at Lundale. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the church and one hour prior to services at the church also.
