Of South Man, WV
Sharon Sue Clay, 75, of South Man, departed this life on Friday, February 2, 2018, leaving from her earthly home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born February 24, 1942, at Man, a daughter of the late Les and Irene Adkins Hamb.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Clay.
She was an educator who retired from the Logan County Board of Education. Sharon began her teaching career as an elementary school teacher at Christian and retired as a librarian at the E.S.E.A. Center.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, William L. (Trish) Toler of Chapmanville; one daughter, Debbie (Mark) Pernell of Pinch; four grandchildren, Jordan Michelle (Cody) Gosien of Shelbyville, KY, William L. Toler II of Logan, Rebecca (Bob) Letendre of Oak Harbor, WA, and Josh Hileman of Boynton Beach, FL; great-grandchildren, Mila Gosien, Jules Gosien, Zaylee Richardson; one sister, Carol Boggs of Bowling Green, KY; a special niece and nephew, Debbie and Keith Durham of Logan; along with her caregivers, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2018, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
A graveside service will be held afterward at the Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum at Pecks Mill.
