Obituary of Richard Joseph Brown

Richard Joseph Brown Of South Man, WV Richard Joseph Brown, 72, of South Man, joined his wife in their Heavenly home on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at his home, after an extended illness. He was born February 4, 1945, in Logan County, a son of the late Frank and Ruby Dare Grimmett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kay Marcum Brown. Richard was a retired manager for Gilbert Distributing. He enjoyed his retirement years visiting with friends, listening to 60's Doo-Wop music, and showering his granddaughters with love and affection. Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Iann Brown and his wife, Brandy, of Winfield and Michael Brown of New York, NY; two granddaughters, Kianna and Rowan Brown of Winfield; his best friend since early childhood, William T. Coyer of Man along with a host of other relatives of friends. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2018, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. In honor of Richard's wishes his remains will be cremated and lovingly laid to rest beside his wife, Linda.
