Sandra Nunley Luna
Of Titusville, FL
Sandra Nunley Luna of Titusville, FL, formerly of Man, WV, passed away on December 15, 2017, in Titusville, FL.
She was born on November 8, 1942, at Landville, WV, the second child of the late Ralph and Ruth (Sorrell) Nunley.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Luna was preceded in death by her son, Bruce D. Luna; her grandson, Bruce D. Luna, Jr., and one brother, Richard Nunley.
Ms. Luna graduated from Man High School in 1960 and began her career working in Washington, D.C. She married a career Air Force NCO and traveled extensively in Europe, living in England, Spain, and Italy before returning to Man, WV. She worked in the Human Resource Office of Belva Coal Company before moving to FL in 1983. She retired as a Human Resources Officer from Space Gateway Support (SGS) at the Kennedy Space Center/Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in 2006.
Sandy (as she was affectionately known by family and friends) was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mims, FL, and the Indian River Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Titusville, FL.
Surviving are her children, Michael (Lori) Luna of Montoursville, PA and Tony (Jamie) Luna of Titusville, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer Luna of Princeton, WV, Kristina (Andrew) Sheybani of Mooresville, NC, Jordan (Adam) Tillema, Bailey Luna and Reagan Luna, all of Montoursville, PA, Mallori Luna, Shea Luna, and Skylar Luna, all of Titusville, FL; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Avery Sheybani of Mooresville, NC, Riley, Piper, and Harrison Tillema of Montoursville; one sister, Fran Nunley Cabanilla of Titusville; and one sister-in-law, Mary Lou Combs Nunley also of Titusville; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home in Man, WV on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2017, at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with David Sorrell officiating.
The family requests donations in lieu of flowers, if you so wish, to Hospice of St. Francis Foundation, 1250-B Grumman Place, Titusville, FL 32780 in Sandy's memory.
