Rebecca Frances Loftis Krantz, 85, of Man, departed this life on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at her home in Man, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on December 4, 1931, at Spring Hill, a daughter of the late Cecil Floyd and Margaret Bell Thompson Loftis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Everett L. Krantz, Jr.; one son, Floyd Louis Krantz; one grand-daughter; Victoria Elizabeth Gibson; one great-granddaughter, Allexis Vest; one brother, Cecil Ray "Jack" Loftis; one sister, Virginia Ann Loftis; and one nephew, Rev. Douglas Loftis.
Becky was the owner of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man and was the first female funeral director in Logan County. She was a member of the Man Rotary Club where she had served as a past president. A strong woman, Becky remained the matriarch of both her family and her business until her death. Her strong faith, belief in her family, and dedication to Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home and the Town of Man are the legacy that she leaves behind.
Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her passing are three daughters, Sara Margaret Krantz Kessler and her husband, James, of Nitro, Vickie Alice Krantz Gibson and her husband, Britt, of Man, and Virginia Ann "Jenny" Krantz Nutter and her husband, Craig, of Fairmont; her daughter-in-law, Rebecca L. (Rick) Browning of Man; one brother, Jim (Wilma) Loftis of Richmond, IN; her sister-in-law, Lela Loftis of State College, PA; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Vest and Larry Vest, both of Nitro, William (Crystal) Vest of Parkersburg, John K. (Kathy Jo) Browning, Jr. of Man, Meg (Brian) Keith of Whitman, Jenny Rebecca Ann (Dustin) Picard of Hisperia, CA, Emily Clarice Nutter of Fairmont, and Kelly Krantz of Man; great-grandchildren, Annalise Vest, Landon Vest, Olivia Vest, Logan Vest, Jacob Vest, Kelsie Vest, Adam Vest, Ashley Vest, Nathan Vest, Ben Vest, Chandler Duncan, Jaden Keith, Chloe Picard, Victoria Duncan, Lauren Jo Browning, Steven Picard, and Grayson Keith.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Ollie Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Friends may call from 12 until 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home also.
