Rev. Judith Lynn Eplin
Of Davin, WV
Rev. Judith Lynn Eplin, 73, of Davin, departed this life Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at her home, after a short illness.
She was born July 26, 1944, at Rita, a daughter of the late James Walter Hill, II and the late Virginia Walls Hill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Eplin; one sister, Mary Hill Bartram; and two nephews, Jeff Peacock and Hal Eplin.
Rev. Judy was an ordained minister with the World Wide Church of God. She was a member of the Church of God for 45 years and attended Man Church of God and Campus Church of God. Over the years she served in many positions in the church including Sunday School Teacher, Youth Minister, Food Pantry Director, member and past president of the Women's Fellowship along with any other job God called her to do.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Suzanne (Dewey) Tackett of Mineral City and Christina (Otto Dwayne) Bryant of Combs Addition; six grandsons, David (Liz Fossett) Eplin of Covington, KY, U.S. Army PFC Zachary Tackett stationed in Seoul, South Korea, Dewey Tackett II of Mineral City, Nicholas Bryant of Davin, and Michael Bryant and Dakota Adkins, both of Huntington; one great-grandson, John David Eplin; eight siblings, James Walter Hill III and his wife, Karen, of Kistler, Joan Hill of Chicago, IL, Deanna Crum of Logan, Debbie Goodman and her husband, Rev. Bazzil, of McConnell, John Hill and his wife, Eloise, of Braeholm, Danny Hill of Lyburn, and Terry Hill and Rev. Margie Maynard and her husband, Rev. Leroy, all of Neibert; and two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Eplin and his wife, Lacy, of Davin and Gary Eplin and his wife, Deanna, of Claypool; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2017, at the Church of God at Man.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill with Rev. Leroy Maynard, Rev. Donald Lafferty, and David Eplin officiating.
Pall bearers will be grandsons and nephews.
