Obituary of Jerry Edward Davis II

Jerry Edward Davis, II Of Davin, WV Jerry Edward Davis, II, 31, of Davin, passed away suddenly after an automobile accident on October 12, 2017, at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 5, 1986, at Logan, a son of Jerry Edward and Carolyn Sue Lafferty Davis of Davin. Jerry was a loving husband, devoted father, and a talented musician who played at various places with his father. He was employed with the Logan County Board of Education for five years. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 7 years, Melissa Lynn Samson Davis; one son, Jerry Edward Davis, III at home; his parents, Jerry and Carolyn Davis of Davin; two sisters, Sarah Davis of Davin and Patricia (Freddy) Bishop of Glen Fork; his grandmother, Joan Lafferty of Davin; two nephews, Seth Bishop and Nolan Lusk, one niece, Maggie Lusk; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Lafferty assisted by Rev. Ollie Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Music will be provided by Jim Bradbury. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services also.
