Rhonda Kay Brown Marcum
Of Green Valley, WV
Rhonda Kay Brown Marcum, 45, of Green Valley, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, August 17, 2017, leaving from CAMC-General Division, after complications of surgery.
She was born March 28, 1972, at Man, a daughter of Darrell and Rose Mary Wiley Brown of Green Valley.
Preceding her in death are her grandparents, Carlos and Minnie Wiley and Guy and Inez Brown; her fiancé, Greg Duffey; and her aunts and uncles, Carlos, Jr., Kenneth, Allen, and Billy Wiley, Roberta Wiley Donnelly, and Peggy Caldwell.
Rhonda attended Man High School. Until her illness, she worked as a Direct Support Specialist at ResCare at Accoville for seven years. Rhonda was of the Church of God faith. She enjoyed adult coloring, crocheting, and crafting of any kind. Devoted to her family, Rhonda was a wonderful daughter, mother, and grandmother who doted on all four of her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her parents, are one daughter, Kayla Hatfield of Green Valley with whom she made her home; one son, Michael (Magan) Hatfield of Lavalette; four grandchildren, Camden, Calvary, and Capri Hatfield, and Xzavier Crum; two brothers, Bill Brown of Green Valley and Ricky Brown of NC; one sister, Gracie Brown of Green Valley; her best friends who were like her sisters, Heather Frazier, Laura Miller, Chrissy Wingler, and Leslie Wheatley; a special aunt and uncle, Jerry and Connie Brown of Cyclone; and several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Richard Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
