Helen Loraine Simms
Of Man, WV
Helen Loraine Simms, 75, of Man, formerly of Bruno, joined her husband in their heavenly home on Saturday, July 8, 2017, leaving from CAMC-Memorial Division at Charleston, after a long illness.
She was born on December 2, 1941, at Ben Creek, a daughter of the late William Keaton and Cora Ethel Gibson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Jackson Simms; one daughter, Emma Lou Simms; her aunt, Hallie Hogston; and six uncles, Herbert, Carl, James, Delmer, Ira, and Frank Gibson.
Helen was a home maker. She was a member of the Bruno Church of God for over 23 years. Helen enjoyed singing gospel songs, reading her Bible, and watching Christian TV programs.
Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Mabel Ann (Frank Harvey) Simms of Morehead, KY; one son, Donnie Ray Simms of Greenvalley; one grandson, Luther Isaac Simms of Cyclone; a special aunt who was like a sister, Maudie Smith of Gilbert; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Moore of Wharncliffe; and her Bruno Church of God family along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Roger Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Hatfield Cemetery at Gilbert.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to service at the funeral home also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home, 115 Market St.- Man, WV 25635 to help with funeral expenses.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
