Rodney Gene Joe Blair II
Of Rita, WV
Rodney Gene Joe Blair II, 38, of Rita, departed this life on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Rita, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born on August 25, 1978, at Logan, a son of Rodney Joe and Mary Ellison Blair of Rita.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Jennifer Blair; his grand-parents, Rev. Paul and Myrtle Ellison and Tilden and Mae Blair; his father-in-law, Wendell "Pork" Morgan; his sister-in-law, Rebecca Renee Goodman; and one special niece, Rebecca Grace "Gracie"; along with six uncles and four aunts.
Rodney was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He loved the outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers or just cooking out with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 16 years, Contessa Blair; three sons, Rodney Keith Blair, Austin Rafe Blair, and Kaleb James Blair; his parents, Rodney and Mary Blair, all of Rita; one sister, Kathy (James) Walls of Crown; his mother-in-law, Lottie Jean Morgan of Bruno; sister-in-law, Misty (Eric) Hunter; two special nephews, Steven Blankenship-Hunter, all of Chapmanville and Brian Anderson II of Davin; one special niece, Tori Anderson of Davin; his special friends whom he thought of as his own brothers, Jackie Walls, Robert "Little Man" Maynard, Tracy Milton, Chris "Goat" Cisco, and Derrick Toler; two special cousins, Pam and Kim along with a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Bazil Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services also.
Eric Hunter, Troy Goodman, Michael "Cotton" Goodman, Chris Blair, Jason Blair, Josh Blair, and Bo Ryan will carry Rodney to his final resting place.
