Of Daytona, FL
Terry Lee Queen, 63, of Daytona, FL formerly of Man, WV, departed this life on April 27, 2017, under hospice care.
He was born on August 5, 1953, at Logan, WV, a son of the late Bernie and Juanita Blankenship Queen.
Terry attended Greenbrier Military Academy at Lewisburg, WV and Man High School at Man, WV. He was a member of the Man High School Class of 1971 Reunion Committee when he lived in Man. Growing up in the family business, Terry could often be seen working at Guyan Flower Shop before leaving the Man area in the late 1970's. He loved working with leather, crafting beautiful belts and purses. He enjoyed traveling often living outside of WV for many years. Returning to WV, Terry resided with his father before Bernie's death. During this time he was a great help working along side Bernie in the First Baptist Church's Food Pantry where he had attended since childhood. During his return to Man he renewed old acquaintances and enjoyed many conversations with old friends.
Surviving are his children, April Queen Goff, Heather Combs Peters, Destiny Queen, and Joshuah Queen; nine grandchildren, Bryce Goff, Summer Combs, Braxton Goff, Ciera Peters, Blake Goff, Alyssa Goff, Brennan Goff, Lexie Peters, and Finnegan Queen; his best friend, Ron Wooten; several aunts, uncles, and cousins along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Terry's life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Clyde Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home at Man and one hour prior to services at the funeral home also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
