Jackie Thomas "Tom" Jeffries
of Man, WV
Jackie Thomas "Tom" Jeffries, 82, of Man, departed this life on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Logan Regional Medical Center, after an extended illness.
He was born on August 8, 1934, at Taplin, a son of the late George Alexander and Mary Mildred Johnson Jeffries.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pearlevine "Vena" Lucas Forbes Browning Jeffries; and one brother, James "Jim" Jeffries.
Tom was a retired carpenter formerly employed with McDonald Land Company at Earling. He was a talented whittler who created holiday decorations, bolo ties, and even whittled his own cane when he grew older and needed one.
Those left to cherish his memory are one brother, Eugene W. Jeffries of Mt. Clemens, MI; two sisters, Barbara Ann Campbell of Accoville and Alice Depta of Earling; and numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
His remains have been cremated and there will be no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
