Obituary of Robin Denise Blankenship

Robin Denise Blankenship of Lorado, WV Robin Denise Blankenship, 49, of Lorado, departed this life suddenly on Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Lorado. She was born on July 4, 1967, in Boone County, a daughter of the late Bill and Beatrice Marie Powell Jeffrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Jeffrey; and her granddaughter, Rebecca Grace Blankenship. Robin was disabled clerk formerly employed with the Dollar General Store at Man. She dearly loved her son and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Gary D. Blankenship II of Lorado; one grandson, Steven Ray Blankenship; a young man who was like a son to her, Dashawn Jamal Brown of Greenvalley; her fur baby, Bear; two sisters, Kathy Brunty and Marsha (Richard) Vanover, both of Lorado; one brother, Stanley (Libby) Jeffrey of Rockview; a special friend, Scotty White of Powell Creek; her best friend, Betty Jo Adkins of Lorado; her ex-husband, Gary D. Blankenship of Winston-Salem, NC; and several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In honor of her request, her remains have been cremated.
