Obituary of Wilma Lee Isom

Please share a memory of Wilma to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Wilma Lee Isom of Pardee, WV Wilma Lee Isom, 57, of Pardee in Logan County, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center, after a short illness. God saw she was getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around her and whispered "come with me." With tear filled eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away, although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating here, hard working hands went to rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. She was born on April 11, 1959, at home on Buffalo Creek at Curtis, a daughter of the late Hillard Lee and Lessie Victoria Osborne Gibson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband she loved dearly, James Harold Isom, Jr.; one granddaughter, Sonja Lynn Salyers Isom; eight brothers and sisters, Nellie, Freeman, Delma, Joann, Dewey, Roger, Ullie, and Lacy; two nieces, Ernestine Bailey and Melissa Crouse; one nephew, Arman Daniels; one grand-nephew, Arman Prince; one grand-niece, Tristy Maynard; two special brothers-in-law, Nelson Bailey and Eugene Isom; and her parents-in-law, James and Ruth Peters Isom. Wilma was the spiritual daughter of God the Father and Jesus Christ was her big brother. She was a God fearing minister and served the Lord with all of her heart. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was a very loving sister. She was a faithful charter member of God's Lighthouse Church at Curtis. Those left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are one daughter, Naomi (Scottie) Maynard of Lorado; one son, Harold Lee (Freda) Isom of Amherstdale; five grandchildren, Donna Blankenship and her fiancé, Darrell "Red" Wallace, Sarah Blankenship, Melissa Isom, Shayan Isom, and Jeremy Scott Maynard; four great-grandchildren, James Dale Wallace, Jeremy Shawn Maynard, Cherity Faith Maynard, and Arizona Brooke Maynard; two brothers, Pastor David (Ann) Gibson and Rev. Calvin (Amanda) Gibson; three sisters, Dovie (Bill) Lycan, Annabell Gibson, and Judy (Duke) Nichols; 22 nieces and nephews; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; and a multitude of great-great nieces and great-great-nephews; a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rev. Eddie and Sharon Isom; and a host of friends and loved ones. A Going Home Service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, August 29, 2016, at the God's Lighthouse Community Church at Curtis with Rev. Scottie Elswick assisted by Rev. Debbie Price officiating. Burial will follow in Daniels Cemetery at Curtis. Visitation will be held from 6 -11 p.m. Sunday at the church where a service will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Debbie Price assisted by Rev. Scottie Elswick officiating. Friends may also visit one hour prior to services on Monday also. Friends may call on God at anytime and anywhere. "Family call on God now, don't wait for Krantz-McNeely to take you to church."
