Obituary of Ricky Allen Grimmett

Ricky Allen Grimmett of Mallory, WV Ricky Allen Grimmett, 59, of Mallory, formerly of Greenvalley, departed this life on Monday, August 22, 2016, at Logan Regional Medical Center, after a short illness. He was born on November 16, 1956, at Man, a son of the late Lee and Thelma Ruth Bailey Grimmett. A 1975 graduate of Man High School, Ricky furthered his education at Marshall University. He was an Army veteran and a disabled blaster who worked in road construction. Ricky enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tennis. Those left to cherish his memory are one brother, Roger (Carol) Grimmett of Romeoville, IL; three sisters, Brenda Sue (Roy) Thacker of Belfry, KY, Diana (Danny) Rice of Harts, and Patricia Western of Hiddenite, NC; two children of his heart, Michelle Wooten and David Wooten; his canine friends, Jack and Wizzie; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2016, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man where a service will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Alfred "Butch" Cobb. In honor of Ricky's wishes his remains will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man to help with funeral expenses.
