Jack B. Daniels, Jr.
of Riley Camp, WV
Jack B. Daniels, Jr., 61, of Riley Camp, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center, after a long illness.
He was born on September 13, 1954, at Logan, a son of Maggie Jean Traylor Daniels Rhodes of Lorado and the late Jack B. Daniels, Sr.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rev. Horace and Flora Daniels; maternal grandparents, Carl and Ruby Smith Traylor; his aunt and uncle, Ray and Joan Brown; three sisters-in-law, T.C. Thompson, Gaynell Blankenship, and Pam Traylor; and his fathers-in-law, Jack Blankenship and Bill Wingler.
Jack was a coal miner for 39 years who throughout his career worked at various area coal mines. He was a 1973 graduate of Man High School. Jack was a member of the Bethel Tabernacle Church at Lorado where he loved going to church. An avid outdoorsman, Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, and racing slot cars. Coaching his son's and other area youth's baseball teams was one of the greatest enjoyments of his life. A devoted family man, Jack loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his passing are the love of his life, his wife of 43 years, Pam Daniels; three children, Crissy (Paul) Huggins of Gilbert, Jack (Michelle) Daniels of Braeholm, and Ike (Jessica) Traylor, II of Taylors, SC; five grandchildren, MyLeigh Jack Daniels, Layne Daniel Huggins, Kaden Chase Dickerson, Layla Sue Traylor, and Titus Nathaniel Traylor; his parents, Paul and Maggie Rhodes of Lorado; one sister, Jackie (Mike) Mounts of Gilbert; two brothers, Eddie Traylor of South Man and Ike Traylor of Seneca, SC; his mother-in-law, Bea Wingler of Kistler; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry (Betty) Blankenship and Totche Blankenship, both of Pineville, and H.D. Thompson of Davin; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Earl Robinson and Rev. Pat Kinser officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be his nephews.
