Byron Gene Linville
Of Hurricane, WV
Byron Gene "Tumbleweed" Linville, 60 of Hurricane, formerly of Davin, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 27, 2016, from Cabell-Huntington Hospital at Huntington, after a short illness.
He was born December 1, 1955 at Logan General Hospital, a son of the late Grover Lee and Cora Ellen Brown Linville.
In addition to parents, he was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Ida Linville, and Bittle Dewitt and Hattie Mae
Brown.
After graduating from Man High School in 1974, he worked for the FBI in Washington, D.C., before returning to WV to become a coal miner with Island Creek, Belva, and Mack Coal Companies. He and his children then moved to Hurricane to operate Davaroni's Pizza with his parents and brothers. Mr. Linville was a Christian of the United Methodist Faith.
Surviving are his three sons and two daughters, Jon Eric (Keighly) Linville of Huntington, Jeremy Ryan Linville of Hurricane, Jessica (Jack) Linville of Hurricane, Justin Todd Linville of Hurricane, and Rebecca (Joshua) Linville of Wheelersburg, OH; three brothers, Kenneth Lee Linville of Davin, and his son, Thomas, Chris (Gloria) Linville of Hurricane and their daughters, Kristin, Lynn, and Mallory, and Stephen (Lisa) Linville of Hurricane and their sons, Derrick and Christopher "Boo", and daughters, Hallie and Kaitlynn; four grandchildren, Kaden Alec Linville, Calla Ryleigh Linville, Jackson Liam Adkins, and Rosalie Ellen Parlin; many great nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Claypool United Methodist Church at Davin, with Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow in Claypool Cemetery at Davin.
Family and friends may gather one hour prior to services.
To honor Byron's wishes he was cremated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
