Obituary of Milan Klipa

Milan Klipa of Mount Juliet, TN Milan Klipa, 80, of Mount Juliet, TN, formerly of Mallory, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 22, 2016, leaving peacefully from his home, after a long illness. He was born on August 31, 1935, at Kistler, WV, a son of the late Pete and Julia Murin Klipa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers George Klipa and Pete Klipa. Milan was a long time postman of Man, WV and pastor of Accoville United Methodist Church. He was a 1954 graduate of Man High School and a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea. Milan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved his family. He loved golfing, chocolate ice cream and the WV Mountaineers. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Barbara Harrison Klipa; one son Milan (Beth) Klipa of SC; two daughters, Pamela and Ludena Klipa both of TN; one brother, Donald (Susie) Klipa of TN; two sisters, Margaret (Bill) Chandler of VA and Elizabeth Suarez of MD; five grandchildren, Onna (James) Withrow of TN, Jason (Dawn) Stacy of NC, Tyler (Heather) Klipa of NC, Matthew and Annie Klipa of SC; four great grandchildren Emily, Rachel and Garrett Stacy all of NC and Sydney Withrow of TN; along with a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The family would like to say a special thank you to Visiting Angels Homecare owners Steve and Delline McCharen and caregivers Teresa and Julian. As well as AseraCare Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association (alz.org) or AseraCare Hospice Foundation (aseracarefoundation.org). Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum at Logan, WV with Rev. Wayne Nutter officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 6153 and American Legion Post 103 of Chapmanville and DAV Post 39 of Harts. Pallbearers will be Milan Klipa, Jason Stacy, Tyler Klipa, Matthew Klipa, James Withrow, and Harold Combs. Honorary pallbearer will be Garrett Stacy.
