Clyde C. Vance, Jr.
of Amherstdale, WV
Clyde C. "Buddy" Vance, Jr., 66, of Amherstdale, departed this life on Monday, February 22, 2016.
He was born on February 14, 1950, at Robinette, the son of Elizabeth "Bethel" Vance and the late Clyde Vance, Sr.
Clyde was a 1969 graduate of Man High School. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam Conflict. Buddy was a disabled coal miner and a member of the UMWA District 17. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and riding four wheelers with his grandson, Kyler.
Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother, are his wife of 45 years, Sharon Ann Vance; two children, Mark (Christie) Vance and Sabrina Bledsoe; two grandchildren, Kyler and Alexis Vance; four sisters, Patricia Bragg, Ella Mae Horn, Linda Sue Smith, and Beth Ann Maynard; special niece, Lorraine "Pud" Isom; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Albert Cline officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the U.S. Air Force, DAV Post 19 of Harts, VFW Post 6153, and American Legion Post 103, both of Chapmanville.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be members of the Brothers of the Wheel, Southlands Chapter.
