Obituary of Joyce Faye Brown

Joyce Faye Brown Of Davin, WV Joyce Faye Brown, 72, of Davin, formerly of Netcong, NJ, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 21, 2014, from her home, after a short illness. She was born on August 30, 1941, at Man, the daughter of the late Luther and Margarete "Margie" Virginia Browning Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Brown; and one daughter, Kathy Brown. For many years Joyce worked in a Greeting Card factory in NJ. Four years ago, she returned to Davin where she reunited with her former church family at Claypool United Methodist Church. Joyce loved to read and work puzzles. Those left to cherish her memory are two children, Sheila Sloane of Davin and Jeff (Tina) Wynn of Galien, MI; four grandchildren, Gary Kevin, Katherine Ann, Amanda, and Michael; two sisters, Janet Sue (Millard) Grimmett of Davin and Judith Ann (John) Broyles of AL; a special niece with whom she made her home, Sherry Lynn Grimmett of Davin; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the Claypool United Methodist Church at Davin with Rev. Kevin Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Claypool United Methodist Church. Pall bearers will be Clinton, Christopher and Gary Grimmett, and Michael, Stephen, and Adam Bunch.
