Ray Anderson
of Amherstdale, WV
Wilburn Ray Anderson, 43, of Amherstdale, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2016.
He was born on May 3, 1972, at Man, a son of the late Vernon Glenn and Lana Sue Moore Anderson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wilburn and Inez Koontz Moore; his paternal grandparents, Ray and Edna Ellis Anderson; and one special uncle, Pat Moore.
Ray was a retired coal miner formerly employed with Massey Coal Industries. He was a wonderful husband and loving father. Ray loved spending time with his family. Together they have made many memories of them hunting, fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. Ray was a devoted family man who had a heart of gold. His children and his wife, whom he loved dearly, were his treasures in life.
Those left to miss, love, and cherish his memory are his wife of 16 years, Cindy Adkins Anderson; three children, Kayla Rae Anderson and her companion, Nick Adkins, of Man, and Emma Sue Anderson and Hunter Ray Anderson, both at home; one brother, Vernon Glenn (Cathy) Anderson, II of Princeton; nieces and nephews, Bryce, Caleb, and Kerri-Anne, all of Kopperston, Patrick, Adrian, Dustin, and Maddy, all of Princeton, and Quinnlyn and Liviauna, both of Lewisburg; his parents-in- law, Jim and Drema Adkins of Man; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kelly and Dale Cook of Kopperston and Jimmy and Shena Adkins of Lewisburg. He will be greatly missed by a host of friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at the Becco United Baptist Church where a funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. P.J. Tomblin officiating.
Pall bearers will be Joey Bragg, Nick Adkins, Slick Bragg, Roger "Bit" Browning, Archie Clay, and Keith Duncan.
In honor of Ray's wishes his remains will be cremated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
