Patricia Joan Ferrell
of Mallory, WV
Patricia Joan Beckett Ferrell, 72, of Mallory, departed this life for her heavenly home on Friday, January 22, 2016, from Logan Regional Medical Center, after a long illness.
Born on June 12, 1943, at Logan, she was a daughter of the late Mortica Beckett and Alice Marie Wilburn Beckett Browning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Sherman Browning; son Bryan Allen Ferrell; sister, Donna Colegrove; brothers, Noah and Roger Beckett; parents-in-law, George and Betty Ferrell; sister-in-law, Margie Burton; brothers-in-law, Leonard Williams, James Ferrell, Jack Slack, James Hunt, and Eustus Caldwell; one grandson, Nicholas Scott Hunt.
Joan loved life. She enjoyed watching girls' softball, going to yard sales, fishing, and vacationing with her family. Joan was a christian and attended various churches when she was able.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Cletis "Butch" Ferrell; one son, Eddie (Kristi) Ferrell of Mallory; two daughters, Cynthia "Sissy" (Wayne) Blair of Mallory and Crystal (Shawn) Kirk of New Albany, IN; three sisters, Ruth (John) Elkins of Verdunville, Carol (Larry) Bragg of Kistler, and Connie Blankenship of Davin; one brother, Charlie (Hope) Browning of Accoville; sisters-in-law, Naomi Hunt of Mallory and Freda Caldwell of Combs Addition; brother-in-law, Thomas Colegrove of Gilbert; five grandchildren, Brent (Angela) Ferrell, Cari (Tyler) Grimmett, Trace Blair, Presley Kirk, Paxton Kirk, and Brandon Hunt; one great-granddaughter, Carly Grimmett; several nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Bernard Maynard and Brother Robert Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
