Geneva "Boogie" Ellis
Of Landville, WV
Geneva "Boogie" Ellis, 72, of Landville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Trinity Healthcare after a long illness.
She was born on January 20, 1942, at Sandlick, the daughter of the late Wirt and Sadie Grimmett Walker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Matthew Sean Walker; one step-son, Bobby Jo Ellis; and three sisters, Lula Carter, Martha Harvey, and Janice Myers.
Boogie was a home maker. She enjoyed watching TV and spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 43 years, Bobby Ellis; three children, James "Bub" Walker and Lynn (Rev. Harold) Ellis, both of Accoville Hollow, and Donna Ellis (Kevin) McDonald of Jacksonville, FL; four sisters, Carol Adkins, Ann (Doug) Paynter, Louise (Marlin) Ellis, and Wanda Browning; eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at the Bruno Church of God with Rev. Roger Frye officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bruno Church of God and one hour prior to services.
Her remains will be cremated after her services.
