Tamara Lynn Vance
of Accoville, WV
Tamara Lynn Curry Vance, 54, of Accoville, received her crown in her heavenly home on October 31, 2015, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born August 17, 1961, at Man, the daughter of the late Carl Clyde and Kathleen Covert Curry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Bragg, Ruth Elkins, and Sue Duncan; and three brothers, Jack Curry, Clyde Curry, and George Curry.
Tammy was a home maker who formerly worked as a support specialist at VOCA/Rescare. She was a member of the Cyclone Church of God where she loved going to church services. Tammy enjoyed baking, cooking, and spending the holidays with her nieces and nephews. Full of life, Tammy was the happiest when surrounded by family and friends.
Those left to miss her and cherish her memory are her husband of 20+ years, Harry Glen Vance; the love of her life, her nephew, Hunter Gibson of Lundale; six sisters, Lee Ritchey of Massillon, OH, Pat (Ron) Casteel of Homerville, OH, Madeline Duba and her fiancé, James Adkins, of Lorado, Kay (Marv) Fraley of Lundale, Vivian Browning of South Man, and Kim Davis of Accoville; three brothers, Cecil (Janice) Curry of Morristown, TN, Danny Curry of Nitro, and John Curry of Beach Creek; 21 nieces; 11 nephews; a special sister-in-law, Lori Vance of South Man; and special friends, Cindy and Ryan Daniels, Chris and Patsy Lusk, Shelia and Keith Osborne, Emma White, and Terry Sams; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, November 5, 2015, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Emma White officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be her nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home, 115 Market St., Man, WV 25635, to assist with funeral expenses.
